Hi, I'm Dani - a designer kickin' it in San Francisco by way of Brooklyn and Baltimore. Currently, I'm getting my feet on the ground in the west coast to kick butt with the Intercom Brand Studio. Previously, I was on the Design Team at Vox Media, where we managed the identities and expressions of the 8 brands. I graduated from the graphic design department at RISD, I stop in the street to take pictures of shapes, and I highly respect good people and bad puns.

I built this site from scratch with help from SuperHi and typeset it in GT Eesti. For an extended portfolio, questions about projects, or bad jokes, shoot me an email. All work and photography © Dani Balenson 2017 - forever.

Living With: is a project I founded in 2013 that empowers people working on their mental health to be confident in themselves and the way their brain works. Shirts are a powerful canvas for outwardly showing support, pride, and community. The decision of what shirt to wear on any given day is an active, engaged, and self-aware choice that the wearer makes. When applied to mental health, shirts become a small way to positively affect one’s mindset. As the company grew up, we partnered with Active Minds, to whom $2 of every shirt sold is donated.
